Cultural Change: A Long and Patient Endurance

Gail Collins writes in the NY Times about how social and cultural change happens over a long period through monotonous actions and small actions that require courage and endurance. In the case of women’s suffrage, it came down to the vote of one good man from Tennessee who chose his Momma over his liquor.
